Today is my last laboratory session for the Organic Chemistry Module.
I think I'll miss those lab sessions.
I'll miss the lab - Heddle's Laboratory!
I'll miss my lab coat.
I'll miss my lab cupboard with the number 3/25
I'll miss my demonstrators who had helped me quite a lot in experiments.
I'll miss Joo Enn guiding me to carry out those experiments.
and...
I'll miss my locker - 359
I've returned all the keys today. My bunch of keys is getting lesser. (*sobs*)
I can still vividly remember my first lab session which was a disaster to me. I must admit that in secondary school, we did not have much practice of carrying out experiments on your own. Most of the time, we'd do it in groups.
It's completely different here. We get a lab manual and we're supposed to read it ourselves and understand the procedures. We have to conduct the experiments ourselves. Everything is individual work. When we get to the lab, everyone just starts to carry out the experiment. Oh gosh! I felt so lost when I was first in the lab. Felt so helpless man. The first experiment is so damn long. It was really tiring. And there were lots of stuff that I've never learnt before. For example, to use the rotary evaporator, to use the separating funnel and shaking it, to prepare NMR solution, to get IR spectrum, to recrystallise, to obtain melting points , etc. There were loads to learn. Now I am glad. I've learnt much of these skills. =D
I've completed 6 experiments + lab reports too~
These are the products that I've obtained from those experiments. We've to put them in sample vials and submit them by the end of the lab session.

Took a picture with Joo Enn! (without safety specs though >.<)
