I'm so glad that my mum bought えびの卵 for me~!

My academic year for 09/10 has ended. After 9 months, I've finally done with my foundation programme. Time flies. I can still vividly remember the day that I applied for and sat for the entrance exam before heading off to the UK. Well, mum wasn't quite supportive of me going away. My friend's brother asked me:" Why did you leave for the UK so early?" (which means why didn't I just take CAL in M'sia.) I don't have an answer for his question. Perhaps I did have a reason at that time. Perhaps I chose to forget. Perhaps I just want a change of environment. I'm not quite sure right now. At that time, I was given a deadline to accept the offer. I was struggling and I gave a late reply but they did accept me. Anyway, a decision has been made. There's no turning back. So I left. I must admit that I wasn't happy duirng my first 6 or 7 months there. Everything didn't seem fun to me. Okay, I must say that my friends there are great! And I got to know friends like Sy Qiao, Joo Enn & Shir-li (and of course Pheng and Faiz) [the Malaysians gang. lol.] It's great pleasure knowing all of you. Only Joo Enn will be reading this. Haha! Maybe my life was way too fun in Convent, especially during form 4 and form 5. The greatest time of my life. (exaggerating?!) Never mind. What I must say is that I thought I might be clinging too hard to memories in high school, which made me harder to move on and accept new changes. Sy Qiao (also from Muar) was my closest friend during my Science Foundation. She left to study at another university after the Science Foundation. I thought I need to prepare myself mentally for the coming International Foundation for Medicine as she would not be beside me all the time, like before. I was allocated to a residence hall which is quite far away from town, university building, etc. Joo Enn was still staying at my previous hall. Oh, I thought life would be tougher. Initially I expected only a few new classmates who would be joining the medical foundation. However, it turned out that there were 22 students! That's a large number of students. They come from Taiwan, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Monte Negro, Georgia, Venezuela, Syria, Iran & Norway. (Like the UN. Lolx) We were divided into 2 classes.

I am really thankful that I passed my Medical Foundation. Out of my expectations! People who know me would know that I am not a hardworking person. Lol. I thought it's better to have fun and not to strive for the top of the class. Anyhow, I would always make sure I don't do that badly. *winks* Mel said that I was a really competitive person when I was in primary school. I think so too. Mum said I wasn't. :S I always wanted to get top 3 in class. Ah! I was a hardworking person in primary school but not in secondary nor am I now. When I went to secondary school, to me, nothing's worth competing with. But I'm still very competitive in competitions. Lol.

Mum thought I've changed a bit. I'm kinda talkative. Crap too much sometimes but I'm glad that I made everyone laughed. :D A useful skill that I developed. I thought I have changed too. During my science foundation, whenever my friends and I cooked dinner together, I never cooked. I'm not really into these group activities. During my medical foundation, something in me has changed. I started asking my friends to get together. It would be either I cook for them or we cook together. I'm pleased that I learnt to cook a few dishes myself. They were tasty!! Haha... If possible, I'd invite a few friends for dinner at my house again. Just like last year :) Look out for my invitations. XD

p/s: I'm back in Muar for the summer holidays. I must say "Once bitten twice shy". I'm not going to be a fool this time. (In case Joo Enn is reading this and don't understand what I mean, hint: 电灯泡)

drunk, period

Last day in St Andrews before going down to London.
Joo Enn and I had lunch together (prawn tempura + dipping sauce + pak choi with oyster sauce)
Delicious!
Decided to finish up the lager beer that we bought few months ago.
Name of the lager beer: Stella Artois, 440ml, 5% alcohol, 2.2 units
Alright. In short, I got drunk just because of that 22ml of alcohol in it. Lol.
Now I know what it feels like to booze in daylight.
Obviously, we're very high. Laughed.
My face turned so RED. (like I had some kind of face allergy or something)
I thought I had some kind of fever. Cuz my forehead was burning. Lol.
Ah...my alcohol tolerance level is so damn low. >.<
Then I had a headache. oh god. This is the after effect huh?

I phoned my mum who was at KLIA.

Me: Mummy, if someone is drunk and has a headache, what should he/she do ah?
Mum: Sleep. Wait ah. I ask Papa... (after a few seconds) Papa said get some sleep.
Me: Don't have to take any medication ah?
Mum: Papa says take panadol.
Me: Okay.
Mum: Who got drunk?
Me: ME!
Mum: Huh? You're crazy huh?
Me: No ah.
Mum: Alright. I wana check in my baggage now. Talk to you later. Bye.
Me: Bye!

Okay. So mum thinks I'm mad.
I think I am.
How can I get myself drunk?
Oh god.
But I can understand now why do people like to drink.
I think daytime boozing isn't the best option.
(When my face was red & puffy, I was wondering how am I going to ELT to return books to my tutor?!)
Better do it at night then can go to bed straight after that.
*chuckles*

p/s: I doubt I'll do it again. Hmm.. Maybe on the last day of the next academic year. lol.

Some people just don't get it.
Ah, I can't expect them to read my mind, isn't it?

或许你不知,现在与三个月前的难过都是你间接引起的,但我知道你并不是故意的。或许你也不以为然,我其实最不想你来问我为什么难过,因为我也不想诚实。

Bookfest~!

I was skype-ing with my mum yesterday.
And she was telling me..
"Girl ah. Your favourite bookfest is going to be held in Sept before you go back to the UK."
Hahaha... Bookfest knows me well ah. Just in time for me to go to it before I head back to study.
According to my mum, bookfest = spend $$
It's true.

When there was a bookfest last year, I wasn't in Malaysia so mum spent less money.
Then mum told me that there would be a book fair at The Mines on the day we fly back to Malaysia.
So mum decided that after we land in KLIA, then we'd head to the book fair before going back to Muar.
:D :D
