Our trip to Manchester was very fun indeed!
:)
We should meet up at another place~ Thanks Sy Qiao, Joo Enn and Shir-li.
I've just come back from my three day trip to Manchester City.
As we couldn't get earlier tickets to Manchester, we ended up on the 12.46pm train and reached our destination at 5.27pm. The sky was already dark. Not a very good idea to find our way to the hotel, especially in a big city!

In fact, I wanted to go to Manchester to have a look at the place. Also, I wanted to learn some of the roads there because I'm going to Manchester for an interview in 3 weeks time. Better be prepared, in case I couldn't find my way there. Well, I find Manchester very similar to London. The only difference is that there's no underground tube in Manchester. Instead, there's TRAM at Manchester. LOL. LOL. Those trams are just like LRT on the ground. hahaha~

As it was very dark, we just couldn't figure out the way to get to our hotel. [We have a map though]. Thank god that there's a very kind guy who offered us help. Finallt, we managed to get to the hotel safely. Haha! The hotel is kinda small but very nicely decorated. Then we wandered through the streets and found ourselves at the chinatown in Manchester. There were many chinese restaurants and supermarkets. We ended up eating buffet at one of the restaurants. The food was okay for me. A point worth mentioning is to make sure you read the notice carefully before going into any of the restaurants. This is because we were only given 1 hour to fill our tummies. LOL. Anyway, this was my first time eating buffet in UK.

The next day, we went to the Trafford Centre. I've heard that it's one of the biggest shopping mall in Manchester. Indeed, it is!! It was worth visiting as there were some very interesting interior designs applied to the architecture of the building itself. E.g: themes like Egypt, chinatown, on a ship like Star Cruise, etc. Of course, there were plenty of high street shops.

I'm considering whether I will go to Manchester if I were to pass the interview. I mean, if. I think St Andrews, the town which I'm in now, is a really small town. I feel so protected here. As I have already mentioned, Manchester is a big city just like London. I'm afraid I can't cope with the life there. The only thing I'm worried about is dogs! This is because I have seen tv programmes about people in Manchester rearing fierce dogs to protect themselves when they are on the streets. Okay, why worry right? Well, I had an encounter with a very tall, huge and fierce rottweiler on the streets in Manchester. It was such a terrifying animal! It was so 'excited'. OMG. Hahaha...
